Pre Lim Task 5 - Photographs for Magazine

In the lesson today I was given the task of taking the photographs for my school magazine. I needed to take pictures for both my front cover and contents page. Here are the photographs that I have taken:




FRONT COVER

This is my main image which i will be using on the front cover of my School Magazine. This picture is of reasonable quality so I will be using it for my main front cover image. However, the task stated that the picture had to be medium shot, whereas this is a medium long shot. So, for my magazine front cover, I will zoom in on the picture, so it is a medium close up. As a consequence, this means that Nathan (on the far left) will be cropped out of the picture. This doesn’t matter however, because in my plans I said I wanted 2-3 Sixth Formers. Plus, he will be included in the contents page.

CONTENTS PAGE

This picture is of the same 3 Sixth formers that are on the front cover, but in different surroundings. This attracts the readers' attention, and makes them look where they are. The background is also relevant as it is of the school. I will be using this image because it relates to the main headline on the front cover.

I will be using this picture because it relates to the feature article about Science Week, and how the Year 7's got involved. Additionally, it displays and encourages the new school uniform. 

This picture relates to the feature article about the new dinner menu. This will be helpful to the students as they will now know what food they can buy, and at what price. This picture isn't of very good quality so I won't be using it in my contents page.

This picture relates to the feature article about Iris Rewards - How you can earn them and what prizes are on offer. This picture is of reasonable quality so I will be using it on my contents page.

This picture relates to the article about the extra-curricular clubs timetable. However, because it isn't of very good quality, I will not be using it in my contents page.
